Large Combustion Plants
Large combustion plants are large logistic units, such as power stations and large chemical companies. The emission limits for large combustion plants are laid down in the Activities Decree (implementation IED). Until 2016, existing plants continue to be regulated by the Dutch decree on emission limits for combustion plants 'Bees A'.
The Guideline Bees A (see downloads on the right) provides an explanation of the use of Bees A, in particular concerning the more complex aspects thereof. The guideline explains the standards that apply to SO2, NOx and dust.
- Instructive tables have been added and overviews included in appendices.
- Appendix 1 gives an overview of logistic units to which Bees A applies.
- Appendix 2 gives a flow diagram of the scope of Bees A.
- Appendix 3 specifies the prevalent emission standards.
With regard to the measurement of emissions it is useful to read the Guideline Bees A alongside with the Manual Measurement of air emissions (see downloads on the right).
