The Information desk responds to queries from authorities and businesses concerning the implementation of waste policy.

The Information desk mainly deals with the following subjects:

  • Legislation and regulation
  • Implementing decisions
  • Cross-border shipments of waste
  • Prevention and separation of waste
  • Litter

Opening times

At this moment the staff is short-handed. Since November 1, 2015 you cannot reach us by telephone. You can contact us by completing the questionnaire on the Contact page. We will answer as soon as possible.

Procedure

Whenever possible, the Information desk will respond to your queries within two days. If this is not possible, we will let you know when you can expect an answer.
The replies from the Information desk have no official status.
Our principal concern is to reply quickly to questions directly connected to the tasks of the Waste Management Department. We are therefore unable to respond to all queries. Very complex questions or queries which will take an inordinate amount of time or research to answer are beyond the scope of the helpdesk. In such cases, however, we will try to refer you to the agencies that can help you further.
